Sharpen your 'Corn Hole' skills!

Well you may wonder what in the world are those Southern Redneck Sisters up to now. Well I'll tell ya! It's Corn Hole! What in the world is Corn Hole? Check out this link for all you care to know about the subject http://www.playcornhole.org/ Karen and I ran across a Corn Hole tournament while on Tybee Island recently and thought we need to do our own tournament while visiting Tybee next April and most anytime we get together for that matter! It's a fun game and brings out our competitive spirit! We have had fun coming up with 'corny' names for each of us--so you do the same. So far the 'Georgia Crackers' are going up against those 'Cajun' Sisters from Louisiana. We all have corny names--I am Popcorn and Karen is ShoePeg Corn. This summer has been pretty busy for me and for now I am trying to find ways to beat the Georgia summer heat! Several people have asked me when the money is due--so Karen and I thought we had better work on this trip some and tie up some loose ends.

We will need your final payment of $75 no later than January 1, please.

We have several items that require personalizaton and will need time to prepare these and will need an accurate accounting of who will be attending.

Redneck Hanging Basket

Southern Sisters love to beautify our surroundings...we also love to give another use to a tired old object...I guess that makes us 'Greenies', right?

Well, I don't know about y'all, but I am looking for some beach time at Tybee Island this time!
Warm sand, hot sun, ice-cold drink, the smell of sun-tan lotion (my favorite used to be baby-oil and iodine-horrors!!); and then, a bath, nap ,and dinner at Sundae Cafe! Anybody want to join me?

Sundae Cafe

The June issue of Southern Living came and on page 10 in the Georgia Living section is a mention of this little restaurant. It states: Sundae Cafe is Tybee's hidden gem or a restaurant. It's an understated place in a shopping center but locals swear by the food. Don't miss the seafood cheesecake, an appetizer that has guests coming back the next night for more!

Sisters at the Seashore -- Tybee Island and Savannah

I am so very excited to announce a Sisters trip back to Savannah, Georgia and Tybee Island!

Woody Hemphill, the campground manager of Rivers End Campground on Tybee Island, which is just 20 minutes south of Savannah, has been after me for some time now to plan a trip back to Tybee. They loved it when we camped with them!! He told me he gets asked at least once a week "when are those women going to come back and camp with those vintage trailers?" So---we're going back! Make your plans now--the date is set! We will be at Rivers End Campground, http://www.riversendcampground.com/ from April 6-10, 2011. (Some of us will be there the entire week--come early if you'd like extra Sister time!) We have a rally rate of $35 per night per campsite (regular rate is $39 per night) water and electric (sewer sites available too) and now they have some cabins onsite as well. They have one bedroom with a full size bed, a couch that makes into a full size bed, and twin bunks in the hall. These rent for $70 per night and can sleep 6 but I suggest you not have more than 4 in each unit.

This event will be limited to the first 50 Sisters and is an offical Sisters trip which means: Sisters in good standing only (dues paid) and no pets, no men.

This time we will have much more leisure time at camp or to roam and explore on our own. Not as many planned activites during the day and we will do this on the cheap. A $25 non-refundable deposit holds your spot and total cost of trip is $100.

We have been asked to host a trailer tour again this year--so we will be doing that.
