I am so very excited to announce a Sisters trip back to Savannah, Georgia and Tybee Island!
Woody Hemphill, the campground manager of Rivers End Campground on Tybee Island, which is just 20 minutes south of Savannah, has been after me for some time now to plan a trip back to Tybee. They loved it when we camped with them!! He told me he gets asked at least once a week "when are those women going to come back and camp with those vintage trailers?" So---we're going back! Make your plans now--the date is set! We will be at Rivers End Campground, http://www.riversendcampground.com/ from April 6-10, 2011. (Some of us will be there the entire week--come early if you'd like extra Sister time!) We have a rally rate of $35 per night per campsite (regular rate is $39 per night) water and electric (sewer sites available too) and now they have some cabins onsite as well. They have one bedroom with a full size bed, a couch that makes into a full size bed, and twin bunks in the hall. These rent for $70 per night and can sleep 6 but I suggest you not have more than 4 in each unit.
Make your own reservations at1-800-786-1016 or 912-786-5518.
Make sure you tell them you are with Sisters on the Fly.
This event will be limited to the first 50 Sisters and is an offical Sisters trip which means: Sisters in good standing only (dues paid) and no pets, no men.
This time we will have much more leisure time at camp or to roam and explore on our own. Not as many planned activites during the day and we will do this on the cheap. A $25 non-refundable deposit holds your spot and total cost of trip is $100.
We have been asked to host a trailer tour again this year--so we will be doing that.
More info later! Make your campsite reservations and send in your $25 to hold your space NO LATER THAN JUNE 21 to:

Event Hosts are Anita Jones Wallace (Sister #440) and Karen LeGlue (Sister # 459)
I was thrilled when I saw there will be a repeat visit to Tybee Island. Had a ball the last time I went. Midwest and Western Sisters, don't let the distance stop you. Fly into Savannah and rent a camper cabin or stay at a beachside B & B! Stay a little longer and get a true flavor of the south. My daughter went to college in Savannah and I fell in love with the place. Just put my check in the mail!
